Cut Pro Media (“Cut Pro Media,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, your choices and rights, and key service terms related to file handling and showcasing final edits. 1) Scope
This Policy applies to information we collect when you visit our websites, communicate with us, or use our editing services (wedding, real estate, commercial, and corporate video editing), as well as to content and files you provide for editing (“Client Content”).
2) Information We Collect
Information you provide. Name, business name, email, order details, creative briefs, reference links, and any other information you choose to share with us.
Files and Client Content. Footage, images, audio, project files, project notes, and metadata you provide for editing.
Automatic data. Basic technical information collected by our website (e.g., IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps) via cookies or similar technologies. See Cookies below.
3) How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, personalize, and deliver editing services and customer support.
- Communicate about projects, deliverables, revisions, and service updates.
- Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
- Improve our services, workflows, and website performance and analytics.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4) Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers that help us operate (e.g., secure hosting, project management, payment processors); they are bound to use it solely to perform services for us.
- Legal and safety recipients if required by law, to protect rights, safety, or prevent fraud.
- Business transfers in the event of a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction.
5) Data Retention
- Personal information is retained only as long as necessary to provide services, comply with law, and resolve disputes.
- Client Content retention (backups). We retain submitted footage and related files as a backup for up to 2 months after project completion. After that window, we permanently delete all footage and associated raw materials from our systems. Please keep your own original copies at all times.
6) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use secure transfer methods and keep your own backups.
7) Your Choices & Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information. To exercise these rights, or to ask questions, contact info@cutpromedia.com. You can opt out of non-essential marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us.
8) Cookies & Analytics
We may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences and analyze site performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some site functions.
9) Use of Client Content — Portfolio & Promotional Use
Permission to showcase. By submitting footage or engaging our services, you grant Cut Pro Media a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free license to display the final edited deliverables (and short excerpts) in our portfolio and promotional channels, including our website, social media, proposals, showreels, and paid advertising. We may also display your company name and logo as a client reference.
Opt‑out / hide on request. If you prefer a project to remain private, notify us in writing. We will hide or remove the content from public platforms within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 10 business days).
Work references only—no resale. We use edited videos solely as work samples and marketing references. We do not sell or license your content to third parties.
NDAs & sensitive projects. If your project is confidential or covered by an NDA, inform us before delivery; we will not showcase it or disclose related details.
Raw materials stay private. We do not publish raw footage, project files, or unreleased materials. Public use, if any, is limited to the final edited export or carefully selected excerpts.
Minors & sensitive scenes. We will not feature identifiable minors or sensitive/private moments without explicit written permission from you (and, where applicable, legal guardians/participants).
Your warranties. You confirm you hold necessary rights, releases, and permissions (including music and talent/model releases) to allow the above promotional use.
Takedown process. To request removal later, email info@cutpromedia.com with the project name and links; we’ll process removal within a reasonable period (typically within 10 business days).
10) Editing Service Terms (Key Points)
Music. We do not provide music. Please supply licensed tracks or give us access to your music library for use in your project.
Color and plugins. Color grading is inherently subjective. If you require specific looks or plugins, share them and any LUTs/ICC profiles. If we cannot fully match your preferred look, we can provide the project file for your final adjustments.
Revisions and approvals. We implement changes requested by you (our contracting client). If end‑clients (your customers) request extra changes beyond your package or scope, additional fees or a higher‑tier package may apply.
Confidentiality. We keep Client Content confidential and use it only to provide services, except as described in Portfolio & Promotional Use when applicable or as required by law.
Hardware returns. If you send a hard drive or physical media, we will return it after project completion. Please ensure you maintain your own backups at all times.
11) Children’s Privacy
Our services are designed for businesses and professionals and are not directed to children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it.
12) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of our services after an update signifies acceptance of the revised Policy.
